In February 14th, West Kazakhstan State Medical University was founded. West Kazakhstan State Medical University was one of the biggest universities of the Western region republic where a total of 12000 students, undergraduates, postgraduates students are trained. And near about 1000 employees work there. West Kazakhstan is a region of Kazakhstan and its capital is Oral. It is a city of 200,000 dwellers. The region outskirts Russia and is near the Ural mountains.
West Kazakhstan State Medical University is one of the governing centers for education, science, culture in the region is an open socio-cultural and information system, which needs continuous improvement of the structure and content of the activity, the nature and direction are determined by the process of development of Kazakhstan as a legal state with a market and a socially oriented economy, democratic reforms in the society, entering the natural education system in the world educational space.
In correspondence with the overall strategy for the development of education in Kazakhstan until 2020, West Kazakhstan State Medical University is planned to be an effective center of education, cultural, scientific and social development of West Kazakhstan region.
The university has many hospitals aﬃliated where the students can pracce their internship and have some praccal experience under the guidance of their mentors and doctors working there.

West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov State Medical University is considered to be one of the great cultural, diagnostic, educational, medical, and research center of Kazakhstan’s West region. The University comprises of its own clinical units such as Dental Clinic, Family Medicine Clinic and Medical Centre which are delivering the tertiary care. The University was established in the year 1957. These days, the University staff actively introduces innovative approaches and modern technologies in the field of education as well as medicine. There is post graduate training in 4 specialities in the master’s programme, 18 specialities in residency as well as 2 specialities in the doctoral programme, advanced training of physicians and nurses in 29 specialities and primary professional retraining 22 specialities. The structure of the University consists of faculties, departments, a medical care, a family clinic, a dental clinic, a scientific and practical center, a center of practical skills, a department for teaching and methodical work, a department or administrative staff management, laboratories, and other educational and methodological, scientific and auxiliary departments.
